WHAT IF MY CHILD IS AWAY AT
COLLEGE AND GETS IN AN
ACCIDENT?
Once your 'child' turns 18, they're considered a legal adult.
Federal laws prevent doctors, hospitals and other medical care providers from giving medical information to parents of adults. If your college aged child is in an accident, you are not eligible to know what is going on medically.
PLAN 18---a legal plan for college students is our firm's way of enabling parents to gain access to their adult child's medical information in the event of an emergency.
